FEBRUARY 2023

The Millennium Milepost on route 75 at Whiteside, West Lothian, was given a makeover, with the help of nearby St Mary's Primary School.

The milepost had been in need of attention for some time. In September the local primary school held a design competition and the winner was chosen in a public vote on Twitter, but the weather stopped the milepost being painted before the end of the year.

A new date was scheduled for February and the weather turned out to be glorious. The winning designer, Isla, who is aged 11 and in primary 7, joined Hannah and Laura from Sustrans to complete the colourscheme she had designed.
